Four historians at the Casa de la Memoria are currently working on a research project into the purging of teachers in the Campo de Gibraltar area during the Franco dictatorship. Among the sources being used by Fernando Sígler Silvera, Margarita García Díaz, Antonio Morales Benítez and Elena Trujillo Petisme are documents held in the General Administration Archive and Central Education Archive in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
Once the relevant information has been collated and studied, they will publish their analysis in a report which will also include short biographies of the teachers who were sentenced. They will then create a database with all the information, which will be accessible via the Casa de la Memoria website.
