Members of the newly-established Historical Memory Association of Almogía, (Málaga province), visited the Casa de la Memoria recently and were welcomed and given a guided tour by Andrés Rebolledo and Debbie Eade. Of course, everyone who visits our Casa de la Memoria is very welcome, but we are especially delighted to meet those who, like us, are active in the Historical Memory movement in Spain.
Although the Almogía association was officially launched back in March, the members have been collecting documentation about Francoist repression in the area, and have been greatly helped with important information provided by local people. The aim in the long term is to publish their testimonies and the experiences of their family members as a book. Meanwhile, you can follow the work and activities of this new association on their website, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
We presented them with several books to help them set up a library of their own, and also offered our collaboration and any help they need in progressing their project.
Thank you for your visit, compañeros, and we wish you every success!

Members of the Almogía association with Andrés Rebolledo.
