Next week, from 23rd to 26th September, Guadalajara is holding a series of cultural events about the Civil War and the Franco dictatorship, called ‘Memoria contra el olvido’. There will be poetry readings, theatre performances, music, film screenings and round-table discussions. All the events are free, apart from the theatre shows. The organisers are hoping that the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory, Fernando MartÃnez López, will be able to attend the opening.
