In Valencia, two people have been fined 4,000 euros each for carrying Francoist flags during the march organised by España 2000 on 12 October last year. The march took place in the Benimaclet district. It is believed to be the first time in Spain that anyone has been fined for the glorification of fascism, which is a very serious offence under Valencian Democratic Memory Law and can incur fines ranging from 2,001 to 10,000 euros.
